The Oncio app
We know that information alone is not enough for people affected by cancer, which is why the Oncio app has been designed as a practical and interactive resource. Whether you are looking for recipes, tips on managing menopausal symptoms, advice on dealing with stress and anxiety, or information on different therapies in the integrative oncology field, the Oncio app has you covered. The content in the Explore and Program screens is curated by leading experts and is designed to provide you with the latest research, insights, and resources for managing the challenges of cancer treatment and recovery. With easy-to-use search functionality, you can quickly find the content that is most relevant to your needs.
The Home section of Oncio provides you with a comprehensive hub to track and manage your health and wellbeing data. By connecting with wearable devices and native health apps, you can easily track your heart rate variability (HRV), sleep, and activity data, and monitor your progress towards better symptom control and improved quality of life. Your use of self-evaluation scores helps us assess how effective the app is in supporting people affected by cancer and supports further development.
We will regularly update the app with new programs, recipes, free charity events and workshops, articles and video and audio resources. The bulletin function in the app will alert users to new programs and other new content, as this is added to the app. Watch out for the bell icon and the little red dot indicating a new content or update alert.
You can get your questions about the app and support queries answered using the question mark icon. This provides access to app FAQs and contact details for support. It is important to note that the app requires a stable Internet connection to work properly due to the image and video content.
Please note that the app is currently designed for adult use only (18+). We would, of course, love to support children and families in the future and will be considering a specific version of the Oncio app over the next couple of years subject to funding.

Home
Track your progress on your chosen program and connect health apps and wearable devices to Oncio to help keep key health and wellbeing metrics in one place to monitor progress.
The Home screen also offers an opportunity for self-evaluation of symptom scores and quality of life, which plays a crucial role in app evaluation through validated health questionnaires. This helps us in building the evidence base for digital health support in cancer care.
There is the option to share data with the public or private healthcare team (if they are using our secure professional portal) to support personalised care. You choose whether you would like to share the data following a provider invitation as an explicit opt-in.
